Deadly crash shuts down most southbound lanes of 15 Freeway in Ontario

ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) -- A deadly crash on the 15 Freeway shut down most southbound lanes in the Ontario area early Tuesday morning.

The crash was reported just before 5:50 a.m. at Jurupa Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol's traffic log.

Details about what led up to the collision were unclear, but a white SUV and a work truck were involved. One person died at the scene.

Only the right lane of the southbound side of the freeway was open as officials investigated at the scene. They all reopened by around 8 a.m.
